During the project, as result of the study and the researches coordinated by the project promoter Opera Nomadi Nazionale, and carried out with the cooperation of the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu and the Regional History Museum “Academician Yordan Ivanov”, they have been carried out interviews to witnesses and survivors of the persecution suffered by Roma and Sinti people during the World War II. A selection of the interviews realised is available below.

This documentary was made by the Opera Nomadi Nazionale and includes: the enrichment, with unpublished archive documents resulting from desk researches, of valuable audiovisual material containing an interview with the decorated partisan Amilcare de Bar ("Taro") ; the interview with Kemo Ahmetovich, grandson of a persecuted people who perished in the Jasenovach concentration camp; a long interview with Chemil Salkanovich, survived to the deportation to the Jasenovach concentration camp.

Memories of Deportation

This documentary was made by the historians of the Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu, in collaboration with the Association of Romani Criss (Bucharest). It is dedicated to the memory of the terrible deportations suffered by Roma people to Transnistria by the Antonescu Regime.

Roma People, WWII and the Resistance in Bulgaria

The documentary was made by the scholars of the Regional History Museum "Academician Yordan Ivanov" and of the LARGO Association in Kyustendil and consists of 10 interviews with direct and indirect witnesses of the Resistance in Bulgaria.

 

Furthermore, it has been realised an e-book collecting the reflections and the artistic productions  made during the interactive workshops by young students of secondary schools involved in the project (in Italy).
